No More Skinny Jeans for Kate?

Kate Moss was the center of attention yesterday in London when she turned up to attend an event for Topshop (right), fueling speculation that she has agreed to design a line for the store (loved by everyone from Moss to Kate Middleton). As much as we would love to see a collaboration between Kate and our beloved Topshop, our attention is totally focused on her jeans — specifically, her faded bell-bottom jeans. Not only is Moss always one step ahead of every fashion trend (she was even named “The Trendsetter” as one of PEOPLE’s Best Dressed), but she was one of the first to rock the super-dark, super-skinny jeans (left, in April), making tight, black denim a signature of her style. Now that Kate is wearing light flares again, does this mean that skinny jeans are on their last legs? Which look do you prefer?

I LOVE MY FLARES!!!!! And I will be so much happier if they come back again because then it won’t be so difficult to find them. Flares just cover a wider collection of body sizes/styles.

Wear what you want and stop depending on celebrities to say what’s stylish. Skinny jeans, in my opinion are awful anyway. I never understood the fascination with them? To me, they are an 80’s mistake trying to make a comeback. Stick with what flatters your figure.

I think Kate looks more classic in the bell-bottomed jean.

Flare, definitely. Much more flattering on everyone. Those skinny jeans don’t look good on pretty much anyone… no matter how skinny they are (like Nicole Richie).

I think if you have long legs and are thin like Kate they look great otherwise forget it. Too skinny and they make you look worse.

Flare jeans are way better and totally in style. The straight leg look sucks big time. Come on lets not go back to the 80’s with that look or the leggings those need to be retired forever!

Well I am all for the flared jeans, i can’t stand the “skinny” jeans. However even though the skinny jeans are the ugliest thing I have ever seen, Kate does pull them off nicely, but definately looks better in a flare they are much more flattering for EVERYONE not just thin polls.
