New York Fashion week is over tonight, and the clothes have been as impressive as the stars in the front row, like Usher and Hilary Duff at Michael Kors (left). Thursday, 8:59 PM: So here we are at Zac Posen’s show. From several rows up the floor is a spectacle with celebrities such as Kanye West, accompanied by his fiancee Alexis Phifer and Amerie, who told me two weeks ago that she really wanted to come to this show after always missing it previously because of conflicting schedules, being attacked by the media. A swarm of cameras and people trying to get to their seat make this look like a zoo.Kate Bosworth, in a little black dress, is sitting next to Alexis Phifer and just checked her phone or PDA while the show is in progress.

Thursday, 8:52 PM: Before the show I chatted with Eve and Dita von Teese, two of MAC’s Viva Glam VI’s models, in the MAC booth set up in the tents. Now they’re sitting front row wit John Demsey. I have never seen anyone’s waist as tiny as Dita’s! I think it is a 22. And she wore 5-inch Christian Louboutins.

Fashion Week is filled with shows, wild parties, celebrity sightings. . but my big ticket has been seeing the final Project Runway show! This morning’s runway presentation, featuring full collections from the remaining contestants, will be in the two-part finale, airing October 11 and 18th. It was such a wild scene at the tents this morning. People were literally begging to be let into the show! I entered the show through backstage, where the very dapper Tim Gunn was waiting right off the runway. Once inside, I saw not only judges Nina Garcia, Heidi Klum, and Michael Kors (left) in the front row, but past contestants Austin Scarlett and Daniel V. as well. The show was incredibly well-executed, and the clothes were right at home in the tents. I definitely had my favorites going in and my favorites going out (my lips are sealed), but you will just have to tune in to decide for yourself! — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Clay Aiken’s got a new album, A Thousand Different Ways, dropping on Tuesday, but let’s face it: What everyone’s talking about is his makeover! We’re used to seeing a fresh-faced, spiky-haired Clay Aiken, but on the finale of American Idol, Clay premiered his new "I’m a downtown-hipster" shaggy ‘do.  Judging by his album art, this is the look he’s going to be working for a while. But this new k.d. lang-meets-disaffected-myspacer image just looks a little forced to us. Tell us what you think: Is Clay’s new look an improvement? Or do you prefer the old hair?
