How Britney Got Ready For Baby #2

This time around Britney and Kevin wanted to be surprised by the sex of their new baby. Brit, however, had a strong hunch that it was going to be a girl. She went back to Nina Takesh and Samantha Winch, owners of the posh L.A. boutique Petit Tresor, who did Sean Preston’s nursery, and told everyone to think pink. Brit regestered online for pink things like Cuddle Pink Coat and Petal Bunny Slippers. As soon as the store (and Britney!) learned it was a boy, Petit Tresor had a lot of work to do. All her items were being held until the birth so the two owners are busy now hand-picking more “boyish” items for the new Federline-Spears baby, including this adorable Croak Coat. Sean Preston’s new playmate is already full of surprises! — Andrea DeSimone

Hottest Front Row: Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs’ show is one of the most highly anticipated of New York Fashion Week, not just for the innovative clothing and to-die-for purses, but for the high wattage of his star-studded front row. And last night, he did not disappoint. From the indie-cool Zooey Deschanel and pregnant Sofia Coppola to starlets Kate Bosworth and Mischa Barton (left) to friends-of-Marc Dita Von Teese and Winona Ryder, the paparazzi were going crazy. But everyone’s eyes were glued on one section of the front row where normally camera-shy Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher (top right) took in the show with Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey and her special guest Victoria Beckham (bottom right), sporting her new short hair and an intense black leather corset belt. And even more stars, like Ashley Olsen, showed up for his ultra-exclusive afterparty. Wonder who will make it to his Marc by Marc Jacobs show later today? Check back for more coverage of Fashion Week updated throughout the day.

What is Jared Leto Thinking?

Jordan Catalano, where have you gone? Over the past few years, Jared Leto has morphed from brooding teen hunk to gloomy rocker, fronting the band 30 Seconds to Mars. But his recent outfits, (left) at the VMAs and (right) at a Fashion Week event, have us confused about his bad boy image. First of all, rockstars do not wear their blackberrys clipped to their skinny jeans like a member of the tech department. Second: Crocs? Yes, they are comfy, but they are still gardening clogs. We know he’s been through a lot lately, what with all that weight gain and loss for the film Chapter 27, but we miss Jared-the-pretty boy. Tell us: what do you think of his rocker style? Should it stay or should it go?Melissa Liebling-Goldberg
