Shopping Alert: Abaete for Payless
Hot designer creates line for mass retailer — it’s the big idea in fashion right now (has everyone bought their Paul and Joe yet?) But until now all of the high/low designer shoe lines have still had designer price tags on them, like Tara Subkoff for Easy Spirit and Vivienne Westwood for Nine West–gorgeous, but still hundreds of dollars. As of today, Payless and Abaete, designed by hot NYC designer Laura Poretsky, have gotten it right- amazing shoes for $20- $45.
