Trend Worth Trying: Brunette Hair for Fall

We knew that dark nails were going to be big this fall, but dark hair is sweeping Hollywood; former blondes Britney Spears (left) and Cameron Diaz (right) as well as redhead Lindsay Lohan (middle) have all switched to shades of chocolate brown. PEOPLE magazine’s Beauty Editor Elizabeth Lamonts explains, “the trend is about these celebs saying, ‘Summer is over. I’m ready for something different, darker, more daring.’ It’s about seeing all those great coats and cashmere sweaters in the stores and getting in the mood.” Now, we’ll just have to wait and see who else goes to the dark side this fall. Tell us: Will you go brunette for fall?

I’m not 100% sure about Cameron, but we all KNOW that Britney is naturally BRUNETTE. She probably needed to give her scalp a break from all the bleach!! It’s amazing to me how many people just assume that a blonde is natural, particularly MEN, they just believe anything! Britney is a medium brunette, you can see it in her younger pictures, and you can frequently see her with stark dark roots! So many women that seem eye-catching at a first glance are just striking to people because they bleach the fire out of their hair and bake themselves in the tanning bed. It doesn’t equate to true beauty, it just catches your attention because it’s “barbie-ish”, but it’s fake and temporary. Sorry to be on a rant, but it just sickens me. The whole formula: Bleach ALL color out of your hair, wear lots of eye makeup, and tan yourself till you look like an islander and suddenly you’re “beautiful” by society’s standards. It’s so stupid, ANYONE can look like that if enough effort is put into it. Hugh Hefner’s concubines would look like normal, everyday women if you isolated them for a month and let their natural hair color grow and their fake tans fade. Ooops, and take their implants out. We are becoming so fake and plastic in America. Stupid stupid stupid.

i don’t like any of the celebrities new hair color. are they going goth or something? and if you are goth that’s fine i just don’t agree with it. but that is a whole ‘nother subject

I love the dark brunette looks. But I won’t change my hair color because its fall, lol. I’m a blonde and I love my tresses. I have changed looks a few times, back when I was in highschool. I did a dark red color, then I did a honey blonde with brunette streaks. I was always changing, but now I’ve realized that when you are constantly changing your hair like that, with dye after dye, it can really take an effect on your hair. Now I’m back to my normal hair color, blonde and I’m happy, even though I want to experiment again with the dark brunette, but not because it’s the fall hair color, lol.

With that said….I think Britney went dark brunette because she’s a mommy and it makes her look older and more classier. I like the color. I prefer the red hair for Lindsay, that was her trade mark, she was so beautiful with her red hair, but I do like her with her dark brunette color as well. Now, Cameron, oh goodness gracious, girl friend needs to go back to her original roots, lol. The dark isn’t doing her justice. The color makes her look 20 years older, while the blonde made her look young and sexy, even though she’s in her late 30′s I believe, she just looked amazing with her blonde hair, and you really couldn’t tell she was in her late 30′s. But you know what, I don’t think we would be as much critical of Cameron if MAYBE her hair was longer with that color. It looks like she cut her hair herself. It looks awful and so choppy in the back. MAYBE if she had longer hair, the color wouldn’t look as bad. I think we say her hair looks bad, because its short and the color just doesn’t look good with that kinda cut, well, on her anyways. I think maybe if she had longer hair, it wouldn’t look as bad.

Sorry Madlyn…my hair is naturally dark. I’d be willing to bet: you’re probably more ‘goth’ than I am ;-]
Having dark hair doesn’t automatically make a person one way or the other.

Okay…. Im annoyed. I just dyed my hair dark brown for teh fun of it, and now suddenly, it’s an in thing because celebrities are doing it? Dude! I dyed my hair dark partly to be different! Not to follow freakin hollywood! Anyways, I like darker hair; I got tired of being a blonde because people assume youre dumb, and they think youre hot just because of hair color.
I love my darker hair now ALOT. Im pale with light eyes, and its kind of…umm…drastic looking, but I like how dark hair briongs out the face, and especially eyes. I always found darker hair sexy. On guys AND girls. It looks healthier,. more mature, more sexy…..blonde is more childish, i’d say. And more “Ok, I am gonna strerotype msyelf in order to fit in.” Ugh. I hate going with the flow. Why can’t ppl just be themselves?
Anyways, go easy on Cameron Diaz, she has a dopey look on her face besides a bad haircut. its not neccessarily the hair COLOR.

I’ve been coloring my hair a very light blonde for a couple of years now. I’m honestly ready to do the opposite. I’m dying to darken up, but there’s issues w/ my eye color, and skin color. (Blue eyes, light skin tone) so, I may not go chocolate brown, but hopefully a dark blonde, or the lightest brown there is.

I recently went dark because I was tired of the up keep blonde hair and honestly I am lovin the darker hair ….and i will probably keep it that way for awhile..and its fall time to adapt to the changes…

Bleach does not make Brunettes turn into Blondes.

Bleach turns Brunettes into BLEACHED BRUNETTES. Skanky, stinky, stupid sluts like Britney, Madonna, etc.

Blondes are the most beautiful women in the world and it is not just a hair-colour, it is a PEOPLE. WE ARE A PEOPLE. WE ARE THE BLONDES. Got it?
