For those who think that its not very feminine, well, its not, nor should it be. Fashion is heading into an androgynous/menswear period. Suspenders are even a trend this fall. Expect to see all the aforementioned items, as well as trousers, argyle, sweaters, turtlenecks, button-downs, plaid, tweed, and grunge.

I have had cute one in dark grey wool with soft pinstripes that’s got a nice tight fit sitting in my closet for the last 8 years or so. I guess it was a good idea to keep it ;-). By the way – I already saw girls wearing those in London last spring and since I found the perfect victoriana-blouse to go with it there as well, this piece has had a heavy revival since then. The blouse is about hip-length, with small slightly puffy sleeves, and I love to wear that and the vest with very skinny jeans and ballerina flats.
