Meet the Designer: ViX’s Paula Hermanny
Imagine looking around the beach and thinking everyone’s bikinis were covering way too much skin! That’s what happened to Paula Hermanny, who left her native Brazil to attend college in San Diego. Horrified by the unstylish and “not fun” bikinis she found in the U.S., she started bringing back suits with her from Brazil for her and her friends, which quickly turned into a full-time business. In her first year selling her ViX bikinis, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit featured 4 of her tiny two-pieces and the accolades haven’t stopped rolling in. Fans of ViX (named after her hometown in Brazil) include Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria, and Denise Richards. Even if you don’t have their flat abs, Hermanny promises that less is more. “If you wear a smaller bikini, you’ll look smaller!
