Had to Buy: Keds’ Owl Sneaks

Recently, I’ve developed a love for all things owl- pillows, jewelry- so when I saw these graphic Keds, I knew I had to have them! This special line of pull-on sneaks feature prints by designer Eleanor Grosch, who has designed posters for indie faves like Death Cab for Cutie and Wilco. The owls are definitely my favorite, but the llamas and seahorses are pretty adorable too, especially if you want a pattern that isn’t a floral. The best part? Only $40 and they’re guaranteed to be comfortable for walking around the city. Can’t beat that! — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Anne Hathaway Bargain Shops In France

St. Tropez has nightclubs with $31 bottles of water, restaurants selling $63 souvenir t-shirts, and shops filled with $500 kaftans. What’s a mere mortal to do? Here’s Anne Hathaway’s insider tip: “My favorite place to shop is a discount French clothing place called Naf Naf,” she told PEOPLE when we met her aboard a yacht in St. Tropez (seen here with P Diddy at the Unforgiveable Fragrance Dinner). “It’s like the Gap but better.” Hathaway – who’s been coming to St. Tropez for two years – is a bargain hunter by nature. “Right after I was cast I bumped into [Devil Wears Prada author] Lauren Weisberger at Barneys and she was buying a pair of shoes on sale. A girl after my own heart,” she said. Ours, too. — Courtney Rubin

We All Scream For Bobbi Brown’s Eye Creams!

Lots of things have a short shelf life in Hollywood: hairstyles, nightclubs, even some marriages. But there is one thing that young starlets have learned they can rely on: Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear Cream Shadows.  The shadows, which come in chic little pots, are blendable, buildable, and stay put even in the nastiest August heat. For a sheer wash of color, apply with your finger tips or for a more precise line, grab one of Bobbi Brown’s famous brushes.  Brooke Burns bought shades Galaxy and Burnished in NYC last week while  Jessica Alba couldn’t pick just one and had her makeup artist request the entire collection for her upcoming movie, Good luck Chuck. Of course, now you won’t need luck to keep your eyeshadow looking good all day long.  –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg
