How Long Should Guys’ Shorts Be?

Believe it or not, men worry about hemlines, too. And when it comes to how short shorts should be, there is a growing debate. After seasons of long, droopy shorts ruling the lower bodies of men, they have been creeping up on some of summer’s hottest bodies. Matthew McConaughey (left) has become the ubiquitous boy of summer, spending all of his time outdoors in shorts and not much else. If you can pry your eyes off his torso, you’ll see that he is sporting the most popular short length for the summer: just at the knee. For those who feel even buffer? They may follow Hugh Jackman’s (middle) lead and head for a few inches above the knee. Or for the superfit, like David Beckham (right), the teeny, tiniest briefs will do nicely.

Tell us: What length do you like men’s shorts?

Would You Wear This Dress?

The fashion world is a buzz about a new look for fall. It’s all about The New Volume(!), or what non-industry folk like to refer to as oversized clothing. Kate Bosworth, who is generally stylish and always beautiful, is one of the first stars to embrace the trend, recently wearing a Lanvin dress that has been ooh-ed and ahh-ed over in many a fashion magazine. I just can’t help but think that it looks like she’s dressed in a hot air balloon instead of clothing. It’s too much fabric for one little body, but on the other hand, could anyone larger than Kate possibly wear it without looking like they are in their final trimester? This is one trend i’ll be sitting out, as comfortable as it does look. Something tells me that this is just the beginning; we’ll be seeing many other trend-setting starlets test out this trend this fall and winter. What do you think? Would you wear this look? — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Can We Talk About Last Night’s Project Runway?

In Reap What you Sew, the aptly named episode four of Project Runway, the designers were asked to make an outfit for INC/Macy’s: A tough challenge, but even harder when they were told to work in teams of three. Well before the judging, Keith was sent home for breaking some of the competition’s rules (more on that after the jump). After all the collaborating, sewing and strutting down the runway, Angela (left) came up from the ashes: She and her team won for their “Empire State Building” inspired outfit. (Click here to see it at Macy’s website.) Hmmm. Where have heard that one before? Got an opinion to share? Click through to the next page to join in the conversation!

Pamela’s White (Bikini) Wedding

What do you wear to marry your rock-star boyfriend in an impromptu beach-side wedding? For most of us, these are not questions that we’ll ever have to grapple with, but for Pamela Anderson, it’s already come up more than once. And it’s comforting to know that while the groom may change, the outfit remains the same: the barest of white string bikinis. Ok, for last weekend’s wedding ceremony to Kid Rock in St. Tropez, Pamela actually wore a mini-dress by indie brand Heatherette. At the reception, it was a total flashback! Though the new bikini (recently designed especially for Pam by Melissa Odabash) was accessorized with a jaunty sailor’s cap and a whopping 18 carat diamond ring, the bride looked just like she did in 1995 (physique included). We’ll just have to wait and see what she wears in the other ceremonies taking place later this month in Nashville, Malibu and Detroit.
