Lindsay Lohan leads a fairly glamorous life– dinners at hot spots with hunky boyfriend Harry Morton, shopping sprees on Robertson, wearing brand new Louis Vuitton purses. Chances are that she could pick any luxurious spa for her preferred pampering, but we were pleasantly surprised to see her running in for a manicure/pedicure at CT Nails III in West Hollywood, which is a low-key neighborhood salon. We are even more pleasantly surprised by the price- only $18 for the mani/pedi combo! That’s what we like to spend on our nails too, which makes us think. . .Hey Lindsay! If you ever need some company on your beauty run, just let us know!

If Tori Spelling’s cast-offs aren’t your cup of tea, but you’ve always dreamt of shopping at Cher’s garage sale, start saving up! On October 3, a selection of 700 pieces of Cher’s clothing, wardbrobe, and even her Hummer, will be going up on the auction block. For many fashion fans, the centerpieces of the auction will be costumes (like the one at left) from “The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour” and a Bob Mackie dress that she wore to the 1998 Oscars. According to Cher, “a nice percentage” of the sale’s proceeds will benefit the Cher Charitable Foundation, but the real reason she decided to auction everything off from her house was that she wanted to redecorate! That’s what we call spring cleaning!

This monoi (Tahitian gardenia) fragrance instantly gives you this sand-between-your-toes, ocean-breeze-through-your-hair feeling: perfect for those beastly hot days when you’re stuck in the big city. I caught a whiff of it on a woman sitting near me at a restaurant last week and was transfixed. Sadly, the saleswoman at Saks told me it’s sold out nationwide–it’s on back order at saks.com and nm.com– but here it is at Sephora! Chanel + McDonald’s = Huh? We got the answer: The sterling-silver bauble that Miss Jackson most likely snatched up at L.A.’s Maxfield was created by “non-conformist” jewelry designer and CFDA winner Tom Binns. He paired the symbols with a skull to represent how corporate “logos are taking over the world,” says his rep Cristina Viera-Newton. “Chanel McDonalds” is available in select stores for $270 (Jackson’s zipper necklace, also designed by Binns, is $620). — Caryn Midler
